We are coaches, athletes and health professionals who want to help people to move, live and perform  better. We are here to help you find joy, happiness and longevity in movement.

The Wellstrong team and our loyal clients have experienced first-hand of how incorporating movement and aspects of healthier living into their personal lives can make a significant difference to our physical health, mental health and overall wellbeing.

Wellstrong was founded by Louis Dunstan in May 2017, starting out as a personal training service in the Perth CBD. Guildford Studio 1 opened in December 2018 and South Guildford Studio 2 opened in January 2023.

Our allied health practitioners and clinical psychologist specialise in behavioural approaches to support you in achieving and maintaining behaviour and lifestyle changes to optimise your overall health.​

ABOUT US

Since 2017, Wellstrong has grown into a multiple location health and wellbeing destination for people seeking assistance with overcoming the physical and emotional barriers that may be presented by traditional gyms and health services.

Louis (Owner, Coach, Athlete, Mentor), together with Scott Fielding (Coach, Exercise Scientist, Athlete) and Dr Melanie Burkhardt (Clinical Psychologist), are your health, fitness and wellbeing professionals at Wellstrong, with plans to expand the team further in 2024 and beyond.

Louis and Melanie are local to the Guildford area and are invested in the community both through the services Wellstrong offers, and other local community programs.

The team continues to maintain Wellstrong as Guildford’s premiere health, fitness and wellbeing facility.

HOW OUR COACHES WORK WITH YOU

Do you struggle to maintain longevity with your health and fitness endeavours? We are here to help you turn exercise and training into a fun, long-term habit or hobby, by providing you a personalised fitness experience within a safe, nurturing and like-minded community!  

Our personal trainers and coaches genuinely care about people and their wellbeing. We don’t discriminate against age, size or ability, with Wellstrong services broadly catering to all – from youth to advanced years. 

We regularly coach school-aged clients, whether they are student athletes wanting to achieve a higher level of performance or those just preparing their bodies for increased movement and growth. 

We coach regular gym enthusiasts, professional athletes and those just starting their fitness journey. 

We also work with aging populations who benefit from staying active for a healthy body and mind – plus everyone in between! 

We believe that a collaborative team approach is invaluable in addressing your health, fitness and wellness needs. That is why we offer a multidisciplinary health service, all under the one roof. 

You may only wish to attend small group gym training sessions, one on one personal training with one of our coaches, or meet with our health practitioners. 

By involving several techniques and professional health specialisations, our personalised approach utilises a combination of different services to facilitate you and empower you to achieve all your health and exercise goals. 

Our dedication to professionalism and achieving positive results for our clients has given us the drive to create a proven personalised gym coaching program that is completely tailored to your needs.  

One-on-one personal coaching, small group and semi-private training sessions or group exercise classes will improve your capacity to move and improve performance, in line with your day to day living needs as well as sporting or athletic endeavours. 

Wellstrong provides opportunities for physical activity, mental stimulation and building social connections through our training community and gym membership.

Wellstrong Active Engagement Program

If you are seeking motivation and accountability through personal training services and a gym membership, you can take advantage our Active Engagement program. 

Your initial consultation will give you the opportunity to work one-on-one with a qualified health professional who will take you through our training philosophy and explain your Wellstrong training program in full. You will learn about what makes our program one that most of our clients stick to, and continue with long-term.  

During your initial consultation we will ask you to perform a series of movement screening activities. This helps us assess any movement patterns that may require attention. We use high-end modern testing equipment that gives us instant analysis of your strength, balance and symmetry. We then go over these results with you to determine the best possible approach and delivery of our personalised movement and strength programs. 

Along with your intake questionnaire, these results will help us determine which personal coach will be best suited to deliver your individualised training program (unless a specific coach has been requested).  

Our gym programs can be delivered and maintained using online training apps and are assessed throughout the duration of the fitness program by your dedicated personal coach.
